The cymbal collection is diversified with splashes, chinas and accents, while all rides include bell samples. Fxpansion BFD XFL also gives you a selection of kit-oriented percussion hits, including cowbells, jam blocks, tambourines, and even handclaps and finger snaps. Click Here for a full list. How much disk space is required for Fxpansion BFD XFL? 23GB is required to install Fxpansion BFD XFL in its entirety (plus 9GB for the original Fxpansion BFD), but you do not have to install all the kit pieces. Do I have to install all of Fxpansion BFD XFL? No. You can install only the kit pieces you want. Why aren't there brush and mallet hits for every single kit piece? With data space constrained, there is naturally a trade off between how detailed an individual kit piece's data can be, and the variety of kit pieces covered. We aimed to provide a smaller selection of great-sounding pieces recorded with these sticks rather than compromise the number or quality of kit pieces recorded overall. Should I be worried about sonic compatibility with the original Fxpansion BFD? Not at all. FXPansion used exactly the same room, mics, mixer, monitors and outboard gear.. - not to mention personnel! FXPansion went to considerable effort to make sure that the overhead, room and PZM mics were positioned the same as for the original Fxpansion BFD session. Please explain the multi-position hi-hats to me? The multi position hi-hats are recorded at multiple velocities (as with all Fxpansion BFD kit pieces) but also at multiple pedal positions - so as well as the usual open, half and closed hi-hat hits, you also have 1/4-open and 3/4-open articulations. Using these hi-hats greatly enhances the feel of Fxpansion BFD when playing from V-Drums and other e-drum kits. How do you use the extras like cow bells, temple blocks, finger snaps etc.? These are available on the "Cymbal" slots. A forthcoming free update to BFD includes "Wild card" slots, which allow you to use these without sacrificing a cymbal slot. Does Fxpansion BFD XFL include any new MIDI Grooves for the Groove Librarian? No, Fxpansion BFD XFL does not include any new MIDI Grooves.
